When playing games and videos it takes up a lot more battery. the batter life of that time will be narrowed down to about 6 maybe a little more. Also, you can adjust the brightness on your ipod touch by going to Settings and then Brightness should be there, if not go to General and it will be there. And yeah, I don't know if there's an App saying you have "4 hours left on your iPod" I dont think there is one though because it doesn't know if youre gonna be playing games soon or playing music or not and how much you are going to play so I'm guessing not. It's normal. Nothing to worry about. It might lose a lot of battery because of video, internet, games, music, etc. And I don't think there's a app that monitors battery life.
