Why does my battery power jump around on my itouch 2G?
i got my itouch like 2 months ago. and its always a little jumpy… like i would play a game and it’d lose like 1/4 of its battery in 2 mn. and then i turn it off or play music with the screen off and its suddenly regained all its battery according to the little battery icon on the home screen… whats screwy? also… is there an app to monitor battery life?

If you JUST play audio/music it should last about 30 hours actually.
When playing games and videos it takes up a lot more battery. the batter life of that time will be narrowed down to about 6 maybe a little more.
Also, you can adjust the brightness on your ipod touch by going to Settings and then Brightness should be there, if not go to General and it will be there.
And yeah, I don’t know if there’s an App saying you have "4 hours left on your iPod"
I dont think there is one though because it doesn’t know if youre gonna be playing games soon or playing music or not and how much you are going to play so I’m guessing not.

that happens to mine too i dont know im worried about it….
It does that to my iPod Touch 1G. It’s normal. Nothing to worry about. It might lose a lot of battery because of video, internet, games, music, etc. And I don’t think there’s a app that monitors battery life.
