Well this is my first year coaching high jump, and quite frankly, I’ve never high jumped before. I’m going to mainly focus on plyometrics as I have heard those are the most effective excercises for high jump. Does anyone have good sample plyometric workouts or any alternative workouts?

I am 6" and I can sometimes grab rim, but I wan to be able to at least get my wrist to the rim. My final goal is to get my elbow to the rim. (I know it will take time). What are some good workouts and such to improve my vertical?

Ive been doing them for about a week now and i dont really see any results.when i usually do them i make my calves hard and then go up and down slowly. So i was wondering when do i actually see results in doing them? And also will they help me get faster and jump higher?
Im also doing it for basketball, and are there any other workouts you know that will help me get faster and jump higher?

I used to be pretty good at high jump… but now it seems that I do a little worse each meet. In 7th grade I jumped 4’10" for my PR and at the beginning of this year (9th grade) I only got 4’6". Recently, I can only get 4’4". It’s really frustrating! Any tips or explanations? I also practice 5 days a week so please don’t say more practice unless it’s specific drills or workouts.

I was wondering if these 2 different workouts increase your vertical jump, also if you know any other vertical jump programs let me know
