What muscles do I need to build up to jump higher?
What exercises can I do to build these muscles?
Thank you:)
I want to jump higher for volleyball

I have volleyball tryouts in a month and a week for the 15′s age group which means playing on the men’s 8 foot net. It’s a big step up from the 7’4 net. I can hit pretty fine but blocking won’t work with my current vertical. It’s a struggle to get up to the height I need, and I’ll have to switch from outside to libero if I can’t jump higher soon. Tell me what exercises help, how many reps, and how many times a week.
I’m short, 5’5, that’s why it’s hard for me. I’m very athletic and the best person on my team (not bragging but I am), i just need a higher jump quick

i’m trying to increase my vertical jump as much as possible by the end of the summer for volleyball. if i skipped a half mile a day would that help? do you have any other ideas?

I am 5’7 and am 16 and at the beginning of my last track season my vertical was 21 inches (that was off of one foot though cause i was way more used to jumping off of one foot). Is 21 for a vertical good, bad, average?
also i have been playing a lot of volleyball this summer and was wonderting if i tried my vertical again and jumped off of 2 feet if that would increase my jump?
thanks

I am 5 foot 9 and I play volleyball but I really need to work on my blocking skills and part of that is I want to jump higher. Any tips or exercises that will help me do this?
