What muscles do I need to build up to jump higher?
What exercises can I do to build these muscles?
Thank you:)
I want to jump higher for volleyball

Im 13 5’10 about 140 and i can get about 2in. away from the rim. Im a little out of shape. I am really mad that one of my friends is 6’4” at 13. He can only tap rim. I just want to be able to tap rim too though. I would like to be able to grab rim. I would like to know some exercises to do to help me jump higher. I want to know if there is a website that can give me a proper diet. Are there any ways I can start out to jump higher like getting a good run or getting low before i jump. I usually dont get low because i cant do it very well yet. My muscles are pretty well developed for my age so what are some workouts i can do.

I like to do squats and calf raises and a few exercises that work the gluteus and hamstring muscles, but any exercise tips that can help me get faster and jump higher would help.

They are more powerful, jump higher and have so much speed and very tough/strong muscles. Even weightlifters who can lift a ton and other athletes do not have this ability. Maybe a link? Thanks!

I am a freshman and will be a sophmore next year playing football for J.V. I have hurt both my hamstrings and trying to get them better also i am trying to become a better athlete. I’ve heard plyometrics help you run faster, jump higher, and hit harder, and also strengthen ur muscles and stretch them out. I plan on doing Plyometrics over the summer but was hoping to know how well it works or if it helps at all…..also im going to try to do it for 2 months.
