Hey, I’m a 14 year old, I measure 5 ft 10 inches (1.78m) and I would like to jump higher to get to the basketball rim… I jump up to 9.1 – 9.2 ft… What healthy exercises can I do to jump higher? My gym coach told me squats are bad for my age, and I would like to grow higher… How do I get to jump 10ft or more in less than a year?

I read some reviews from people saying it does help increase jumping ability and some that say it does not. I’m curious to know your opinion on this because I enjoy using the StairMaster and it’s great for working out the whole lower body as well as your abs to an extent. So with that being said, can the StairMaster increase my vertical jump if I’m looking to dunk? Thanks.

I think college basketball and NBA players get up around 45 inches. What is good for a "normal" person though?

Im gunna play basketball and im wondering how would i improve my jump…..i can touch net on a basketball goal but i want to learn to jump higher to dunk….any tips on improving my vertical jump?
