Yesterday I did calf raises, lunges, and some streching exercise..I am sore from my hamstrings, calves, quads, and my butt..is this a good sign that I will jump higher and be faster? And also..are butt muscles important in jumping higher?

This year was my first time playing v- ball. Durring my first year on the team I focused on learning the techniques first. Now, I want to train for the summer league and next year so I can have some more playing time. One of the things I need to work on is my veticle jump. I am 6"2 and even though I tall enough to reach over the net without jumping as high as most of my teammates, I just think it would be great if i can jump higher.
Btw, I’m 18

What exercises can I use (without machines) to improve my jump?

ive tried everything but nothing works any ideas. many thanks
