I play basketball & football and need to work on conditioning strength and vertical jump I see P90X as a great way to do so however im in midway thru my vertical jump/speed program can i perform both at the same time?

If i lost 6-7kgs would my vertical jump be higher.
And yes i would the 6kg in fat not muscle
